in keeping with solitude

in keeping with solitude

A Poem by highonwords

i swear i wont hold you,
if loving you is more than skin
could tell me about you,
if holding you means nothing
but trembling bones,

when i hold my breath,
every time you want to die,
if that feels like you
and i, mean everything the dark
could not tell about your light

i won't be your light,
but the space you could stretch
to infinite grief,
every time you want to cry,
with tears lost on their way

to your eyes, i'd be the last
person who'll say a word,
that you used to have many,
if only to know what you mean,
when there is nothing to say
