is this the root of all your pain, the why to your who, naked of innocence, starved of love and longing -
must you long for her, does she wonder about you, i've been rewriting history, and this time, when you see her, you get to see her, again -
'though you ought to know, she doesn't think of you, until it is lonely at night, and dawn no longer breaks i painted you a blue mantle, with sun-irises,
wove you a blanket, to ease the cold, i will walk you down the road, holding you as i tremble, and without mercy, i tremble from loss and love and longing
parts of this reminds me of my poem yellow...
but it's got a whole different feel.
i love it. sun-irises
painted mantel
the why to your who
this is well, well done

wow, the subject of this poem is crazy not to recognize that this is the true, lasting love that will be there no matter what befalls...the other, she is there for the gratification only.
love the last two stanzas...
wicked stuff, steph...
