there is poetry in your mind, where i see wonder over people, who wonder over your poetry, over you, yet, you're never over people, they are closest to your heart, when you are writing about them, realest, when you are not real to them; you martyr yourself, self-flagellate with words, to make them see, like you do life that passes on to life, that takes a lifelong moment, a lifetime vocabulary, silent, peaceful on your lips; compels your world to fall at its feet, to speak to the poet in each of us,
Excellent poem...and it is true...there is a poet in all of us...very well expressed..bravo

This is a very beautiful poem. I really like your open, flowing style with unique metaphors and enjambment of lines - it shows how you let your ideas freely travel from your thoughts to your writing. I love the lines "they are closest to your heart, / when you are writing about them, / realest, when you are not real / to them" - I relate to that experience so much. Also the lines "compels / your world to fall at its feet" are very thought-provoking. A very enjoyable read. Excellent work!
