not much of a fantasy, more sedimentary, silent and deep, rough on the edges of my eyes, i found you, leaning by the door, your eyes plain-level looked at me, giving nothing away, or didn't you know, who i am and what i can do, you didn't you were gone, as soon as you came, i was beside myself, wondering if you were the one, the only one, i've been thinking about, these years even now, i'm with someone different as you might turn out to be, had i known you, other than the mold of the man i have always thought about, when i am alone, because of you, it's good to be alone, sometimes
The fantasy man materializes, but just for a fleeting moment.....and then he vanishes all over again. Was he "the one" or not? Impossible to know. Good scenario....made me think of a movie. Lydi**

What a smooth and enjoyable write. I read it several times, I like how you structured it. Your use of words is simple but expressive and a pleasure to one's mind.
I do have to agree with KL that "the one" is an ideal who doesn't exist. There might be more than one person in one's life who feels kind of right for someone. So just a gooey fantasy maybe but somehow seems to work well and highly romantic in poems. ^^
It's a cruel thought, musing if the one who left would have been the one to be with, like the perfect one.
Even more cruel is that I observed people are so often together not with the one they actually wished to be but instead with a different personality, making many comprises, trying to shape this one into their ideal.

What if that one person who passed through our lives already was THE ONE -- so many people wonder this -- I have my own theory on that -- that "the one you're with" is a little more accurate in most cases -- we adapt, we mould, we change in order to accommodate a person into being the one -- it is both an unrealistic ideal and a crushing cruel thought that there can be only one. Well done, your voice speaks loudly and clearly in this poem.

I often do wonder, like this poem, about things that could have been different. That's what I love about this poem, the wondering.
