Mysterious Skin

Mysterious Skin

A Poem by sherwin

Seeing through you
paper thin
expanding through to you
like a snake shedding his skin
all in all
were together now
like a hangover.
Turning over
to see your face
to see your mysterious skin.

lots of views, but no reviews, there's an epidemic of that some days . . . all in all, I like the metaphor of mysterious skin, sometimes when I've been struggling with a particularly painful period of growth I will write myself shedding that old skin as if that will hurry the process along a little

I thought this was a very good poem. However I felt the flow started extremely strong, then got a little shaky towards the end. But I love the snake shedding its skin line, as well as the mysterious skin. You're a very good writer, its a shame there's not more reviews on your writing.
