Until I See You Again

Until I See You Again

A Poem by Jay Ligda

Do you do it on purpose?
When you fuse and dwell
Gelling through my mind

What is it your smile
You sweet soft voice
Or shining eyes

It only takes a moment
One quick glimpse
And you'll follow me home
In the recesses of my mind

What will it be this time
A few days or a week or two
Before you fade
Until I see you again

Melancholy...longing...makes for a moving piece. I can sense the intensity of emotion in this piece despite the somewhat subdued tone. Nicely done.
