Hallelujah

Hallelujah

A Poem by R. P. Coke

Hallelujah

The storms sing

The stars dine on a new wine

The dirt it loses its gravity

The man and the boy

The maker and the made

The startled hush

The voices as they rise

The man dying with a smile in his eyes

The child breathing

The no one becoming yet unmade

The all alone

The sin of you

The nothing of the me

The stone is set astray

The leash is loosed

And I am free

And I run to the one who would take me

And break me

Into a million rain drops of new

Hallelujah
