The Streams Dream

The Streams Dream

A Poem by R. P. Coke

There is a stream by the river

A stream that wanted to be part of the river

The little stream would dream

Dream of being like the river

But the stream was just a stream

He was nothing more

Then the river was gone

The river was dry

The river was no more

And the stream began to grow

He began to change

He began to become

Soon there was a river and no stream

That is what I wish to be

I love the message this poem holds. I think though that if you added more imagery, flow or description to the poem it would be even better. I like it though.
