The Yelling Whispers

The Yelling Whispers

A Poem by R. P. Coke

The frustration of not expressing

Of an unheard voice

Amidst a loud, yelling world

Where no voice of worth

Can penetrate the noise

Noise is all it is; empty

It has no meaning

Yet it fills the air

Sound waves bouncing

People screaming

And no one is being heard

And all I want

Is to know

That

The silence can somehow hear the whispers

Of those who say more than words
