the trees swallow

the trees swallow

A Poem by R. P. Coke

the feet are happy. the earth beneth them feels dirty

and good. and alive and real

the concrete is far behind

the trees swallow. i am here.

you look different in the dark

and i know i do too

what do you see when you look at me

the crack through the door revels so little

after all

and i am a little boy and and old man

and i am forgetting both.

yet they are the same.

will the sun rise and will i learn to see it

the gnome runs free. the land meets me.

i love you earth beneth my feet.

will you marry me?

i hug the ground and theres not a sound

and i am craddled, worn by the wind

nothing can kill me. the fire seeds me.

i feel alive.

earth takes me. i am saved.

civilizations falls old in the back and i attack

new and old and old and new and new new old old

farwell the dirty and hello the dirt

i <we>  missed you

You have a really unique way of writing. This is so different and thats what makes this piece so good. Something different and unique is really hard to find. I love this soo much the flow is amazing and the wording is beautiful. This was so well written. There are a few typos so just look for those.
Great piece!

Wow. Interesting work. Love of earth. There were a few typos, but I thought the piece itself was absolutely brillaint. You certainly have your own voice and style, and that's not an easy tthing to come by lately. I truly enjoyed the read.

Cheers!
