A Poem by R. P. Coke

there is a shadow that i know

these people that shoulder in

and take the demand

the sins of the father revenged

and hes secretly excited

the soil has all but told

the stories share all the same old goal

take me away

so hard to lose it all

the gold is rotting in my brain

so i take my leave

bow and take my hat

keys in the old man

off i go, the sound rushes

and sometimes i hear half what ya say

hit the light, night

and it whases all away

the same

the mundane

hail the reign

i am here i hear you take my hand

okay okay, lets see

shhh shhh

everything will be okay. no its not the same

hard to find the courage to end the miserable

stay away

i dont know what you say anymore

but plant the garden the soils just right

and then i am done
