Train Romance

Train Romance

A Poem by rayven
"

This is about a guy I met on a train that really turned my life around.

"
You say I'm right up there with the air,
Tell me that's how much you need me,
But I don't even have a lock of your hair,
Or anything here to make me believe.

I don't think I can even call you a memory,
Instead, I'll title it another night's dream,
Because I can't imagine just you and me,
More than unrealistic is how that seems.

Day by day you try to refresh my brain,
Try to convince me you've kissed my lips,
But trusting you leaves things the same,
Why put yourself on a sinking ship?

This is where the story gets complicated,
Maybe I want to drown if it's with you,
Silly, but the thoughts been contemplated,
Forget our "old", let's just make "new."

You know how to put words together. I know that doesn't sound like a great thing but it is. Your use of syntax and diction here really give this poem great rhythm and pacing. I like it a lot. Good job

i enjoyed this
the little moments that make great differences
its what we all fantasize about
of someone sweeping us off our mental feet
and jilting life and passion into us
thats what i saw here
