Photograph of the Past

Photograph of the Past

A Poem by G.G.
"

So just a little something I wrote when I was feeling down. For some reason though I am generally a happy person outside of home, all my writing comes of as depressing, harsh or something of the sort

"
As a little girl she lived
laughing and smiling all the time
She ran around the grassy yard
picking all the wildflowers she saw
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Innocent eyes as dark as can be
stared up smiling at she
from the picture frame next to her tea
She thinks "I wonder what happened to me?"
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Melancholy plagues those eyes today,
she doesn't recall far back enough to remember
when it started or when it will end
she goes nowhere, nowhere at all
wasting away her youth with pain in her heart

Author's Note

First poem I post, feedback would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm not even sure if I should continue with writing since in general I;m more math and science oriented and I don't really know what to think of my English skills.
