A violent sea of love

A violent sea of love

A Poem by White Water

I toss and turn on this violent sea of love. My coracle is shaken by the fickle winds of friendship. I swallow this bitter brine unceasingly spraying in my face. My rudder is tied in place and I cannot turn from my masochistic goal. I am driven to paddle steadily onward, though I know only pain will result from exploration.

But then I realize: I am not the true captain of my meager ship, nor the wind filling my sails. I am not casting my nets solely for the elusive catch of personal attention. This ocean is deeper and this voyage more expansive. My mission is only in, not of this world.

And so I toss and turn on this violent sea of love. But I can smile through the storm.

Great poem i especially like the last line.
I totally agree on the metaphor how love can be
like the sea can be calm at time but other times
it can turn into a storm.
Thanks for sharing
Best wishes
