NortherA Poem by zeitgeistThe city that trees built.
drove an hour North
to stick our feet in the androscoggin hoping that river drowns us trees have started to come back they built a prison where it all started lost train tracks lost people it only gets worse stopped shy of the border couldn't bring myself to go i come back to the same barren landscape the snow looks pure that river is still flowing © 2021 zeitgeist |
