One Soul

One Soul

A Poem by karina y

What do you expect from a soul

one single soul.

Two broken hearts and she carries both.

Have you asked how she’s been breathing lately?

Have you gone back to your selfish ways

after leaving her on the cold harsh pavement

that which resides in your lost soul.

Have you visited her mind yet?

The one you tore up with your lies,

deceiving bones, redundant smile.

I wonder if you’re  still dead beneath

cause I am.

Still haunting my own self

begging to get back inside.
