Poison Ocean

Poison Ocean

A Poem by karina y
"

Free verse about someone special to me who is still lost in the darkness of her former love.

"

Hard dust leather, in its hard dust form

as it hits her body one arm, to one arm.

And her hand, it runs so slowly through

a dark poison ocean, where the water

does no longer reach the shore.

And my heart beats hard and slow

in those seconds which I steal a look into her eyes,

and it hurts. It hurts me so.

A painful breath I draw.

Each second that this entity stands before me,

hovering her beauty over a vulnerable soul.

And she laughs.

And her eyes are mocking the harsh sounds

that roar through my chest,

and in this moment there is nothing left to say.

She looks back for a moment before she disappears,

as I inhale my last painful breath, and follow

In her footsteps.

Breathtaking! This poem doesn't really seem to be about someone special. It seems to be more about someone leading one into the darkness. Of coarse, perspective is different to everyone. Regardless, this is still very well expressed. Thank you for sharing.
