Pretend

Pretend

A Poem by karina y
"

A poem dudes.

"

Not feeling what I feel doesn not make you clueless.

It makes you safe. It means I can protect you. From the pain that can consume you like it has me.

Maybe you can cope, but I don't think I can. If you are hurting then I'm suffering.

I'll take two bullets to each side of my head just to save you from the headaches.

I'd empty my own tank just so that you can have a quick ride.

I'd take the scars just to preserve your beauty.

And at the end of it all.

I'll stand in front of you.

And tell you how easy it all was.

And I'd wear this mask forever just to hide the pain.

Just to see you smile,

I'll pretend.

So meaningful, your words hold so much love and care for the one that you try so hard to be there for. Thank you for sharing.

Losing yourself in your love… as long as they'll lose themselves in you in return…
