Why?

Right out of my journal.

Can you really look me in my eyes and sell me all these lies?

Not once but twice.

 

Can you really stand here, acting all surprised?

But what if I stood back, and believed you?

And what if I just closed my hear, and told you I'm alright?

 

Would you lie to me again?

Or would you read my mind?

Or would you rake a look into my eyes? 

 

And they would take you by surprise.

And when you realized everything I've told you was a lie.

And would it feel the same to you, as I?

 

But what if I can open up my mind,

And show you what I have been thinking.

All the tears I've cried.

 

Would you need me to tell you?

Or would you be able to just look into my eyes?

And figure out why?
