An ode to Jeff Buckley

An ode to Jeff Buckley

A Poem by blamey77
"

And I feel them drown my name So easy to know and forget with this kiss Im not afraid to go but it goes so slow

"

The moon got full like a plate

Water a compliment to the sky,

And asking to stay

The wind felt like a sigh

As the waves rose and collapse on the shore,

Dream asleep in the sand with the ocean washing over

His friend could see him no more,

Sounds of night heard up above,

What is love?

The cool water a deceptive caress

Where is happiness?

Enveloping water and strife

What is life?

His words echo in our minds

Sucked me in and pulled me under

But stand still in our hearts

You’d better turn around and blow your kiss goodbye,

Goodbye Jeff

To life eternal.
