Struggle.A Poem by whiteNightMm, that rush of competition. Whether is be again an opponent or yourself - It's another feeling entirely c:Harder. Faster. Stronger. It’s only an open field and me I stand and take a deep breath This is where I need to be I take off sprinting The ball at me feet Who said I did this for fun? Sure as hell isn't a treat My legs are on fire My heart is racing I can’t stop now This is my dream I’m chasing Shot after countless shot I can’t accept a mistake Water drenching my body It had to be raining, for God’s sake My lungs are breathing in ice My fingers have frozen cold But I won’t stop trying Too late to give in and fold My body is shaking Feelings like I'm dying My mind says give up My heart says never stop trying Rain and cold only separates The try from the try not You have to work for that one chance When that one chance is all you got 11 long years of sport Yeah, sometimes I fall But I keep pushing foward I've always gave my all To come out of top To always be in my prime To say I never gave up To win gold - Every damn time. © 2013 whiteNightReviews

I've lived around the world, and I wanted a place to share my writing. I'm a sucker for beat poems, and I would be lost without sports and literature in my life. .. more..Writing
