Indifferent....

How I explain myself
What the years have taught me to be

The hurt
The struggles
The confusion
The manipulation

The mental abuse breaks you down
At first you cry
Look for a way out
Try to break free

Little by little you lose yourself
You stop the struggle
Give in to acceptance

Learn to pretend
Smile when needed
Hide the tears
and be that perfect person you are expected to be

and become....

Indifferent
