Longing You

Longing You

A Poem by Shaun Payton

What words can fill

a page;

longing you.

How much rain can fall

from the sky;

longing you.

How long can clouds

cover the sun;

Longing you.

a heart beating

and stopping,

a pause;

longing you.

How many songs

come to ears;

longing you.

There is no mystery

the earth never stops;

an orbit longing you.

How many adjectives

exist,

that shake the verbs loose;

longing you.

Endless sunrises

Infinite moon rises,

Longing you.
