comfort painA Poem by vigilantebastardA beam of light shines through, i gaze at the twirling smoke & dust. We've been stuck here waiting, for as long as i say life. With no glimmer of hope, trapped in perpetual night But I see her now, just past arms reach, she is in my sight - fine and obtainable. But she cant see me, though i'm sure she tries, for that alone, for her i'd die. But she cant see me - i'm absent light, Starved of oxygen and rendered cold, Blindly searching for my shattered soul. No spoken words, but yet she knows She holds the key to the box with my heart We know she's close - i hear her breathe But why does she still search for me? I could scutter my feet, whistle or shout - she might find me then i'd be free - I'd be out But then she might find me - i'd be free... i'd be out!!!
