I Love You Christie!

A love story that wont end up like you think.........

I started off to work just like any other day.
I started my car , and let it warm for a bit.
Winter was in the air, and you could see your breath.
I turned on the radio , and to my surprise they
Were playing my favorite song
" Lips of a Angel."
I sang along like I always do. I thought to
Myself: I wish I had a woman like this!
The song ended , and I pulled out of the drive way.
I headed down the street , and noticed for the first
Time how much the houses in my block looked the
Same? Cookie cuter houses.
A smile came across my face, and I made my way
To the off ramp. A hour later I was at work, and already
Dreading it. I locked my door and headed to the front
Door. I take my I.D. card out to scan it through the slot.
I pull the door open, and I hear some one behind me yell
"Hold the door, I'm coming!" I turned to see who
It was, and smiled when I saw who it was.
Hurry up Christie I yelled, with a smile on my face.
She was wearing a very smart business suit, tightly
Fitted with just enough cleavage showing to be
Sexy, but not trashy. She pretended to run in her
Three inch heels, but only walked fast. When she got
To the door she slipped on some ice and nearly fell!
I caught her just in time. We both smiled
At each other for a second , and then she said
"Thanks Scott nice catch!"
I smiled back, and told her it was nothing.
I held the door open for her, and followed her inside.
It was much warmer in here, or maybe it was just from
Being so close to Christie? She smelled so good!
And it had been a long time since I had been around
Such a beautiful woman.
Together we walked to the elevator,
And we both reached for the button at the same
Time. My hand touched hers for a short second,
And I can remember how soft it was!
We both laughed , and I told her
"ladies first."
She smiled, and hit the button. While we waiting
Christie asked me if I wanted to come by later?
She said " it's the least I can do for you saving my life."
We both smiled ! I could not believe what I was hearing!
I told her almost to excited "YES" I mean if your not
To busy?
"Don't be silly" she said. I'll make us diner and we can watch
A movie.
The elevator opened , and I held it for her. We both walked
In . she laughed when the doors closed. I asked what was so funny?
She said 'Oh nothing its just I love this song!" The song
That was playing was " Baby its Cold Outside." I smiled
And asked if she had a busy day a head of her? Not really
She said. She told me she would probable get off at noon,
And go home and clean house a little, and get ready for
Our dinner date. Date? I thought for a second, and then
The elevator door came open. She walked forward and paused
Right in front of me , and said " Thanks for saving my life!"
I told her " It was nothing." Kind of blushing. She told me
She would have her sectary send me all the information I
Needed on how to get to her house. I told her OK and then
we both said at the same time" Have a nice day!"
And she walked away.
The curves of her body as she walked away made me think
Thoughts I shouldn't be thinking at work(smile)
I continued up to my floor thinking of nothing but
Christie. When I got off the elevator my boss was standing
Right outside the elevator. He said " Scott we only need you
Half of a day today." I smiled and asked why? He told
Me that they needed to do some painting in my office.
I told him OK , and walked to my office with a bigger
Smile than I had when I was with Christie. I walked in, and
Closed the door behind me. I sat behind my desk and started
to call Christie. I heard a crash and a bang on the third ring!?!
And then a HELLO quickly! I asked if everything was alright?
She laughed and said" Oh its those damn heels again, I slipped again!"
I almost laughed, but thought that would be rude! I asked her
If she was alright? She told me " yeah just a scratch on my
Leg and a snag in a brand new pair of hose!" What can I do
For you Scott ? She said with a very pleasant voice! I told
Her I only have work half a day too. She paused for a second ,
And then asked "Shall we do lunch?" I told her only if I
Could pay? She agreed and we both hung up.
I worked like a dog so I could get everything done in
Time. I watched the clock like a man on death row! The
Hands on the clock seemed to moving backwards !
Finely it was twelve o clock! I ran to the door and grabbed
My Camel hair over coat and scarf. And ran to the elevator.
On the way down the elevator stopped and in walked The
Beautiful Christie! We smiled at each other! She asked if I
Was ready for lunch? I told her I could eat a horse! We both
Laughed ! She said " I hope it does not come to that?"
We got to the first floor and headed to the door. As I opened
The door for her she said" Why don't we take your car so I can
Show you where I live when were done with lunch?" I told her
That it sounded like a plan! Before we headed to my car I grabbed
Her arm gently and told her" Maybe you should take my arm? Its
Pretty slippery out there!" She said " That's sounds like a good
Idea! Since I'm such a klutz!" We both laughed again!! So we
Headed to my car arm in arm. When we got there I unlocked her
Side first , and opened it for her. She made a comment like
" your such a gentleman!" I smiled, and said thank you!
When I got in I asked her where she would like to eat?
She told me " It makes no difference to me." OK I thought
For a second , and asked her if Fuddruckers was OK? She smiled,
And said that would be fine. She said she loved the whole bucket
of beer thing that they had there! I started the car, and like some
kind of sign " Lips of a Angel" starting to play again? I wondered
To myself: How lucky can I be?
I pulled out of the parking lot and headed to Fuddruckers. When
we arrived I asked her if we had to rush? She told me "No."
Good I hate to rush my meals. I got out and walked over to Christie's
Side of the car , and opened it, and took her hand, and told her
To be careful. We walked to the door arm in arm, and I thought
To myself: I could get used to this!.
We went in a waiter seated us. The waiter asked if we needed some
Time, we told him yes , and he said that he would be back later.
I asked her if she got all her work done today? She said she didn't
Have much to do in the first place. She asked if I got all mine
Done? I said yes , and had plenty of time to spare. Small talk
To get the lunch going�
The waiter came back , and asked if we were ready? We both
Said that we were. We ordered our meal, and the waiter asked if
We wanted The Bucket of Beer? We looked at each other, and I
asked her if she wanted a beer? She said "Yes." I asker her what
Kind of beer she liked? She said "she liked Sam Adams." I said
"That's funny! That's my favorite beer!"
We got our meal and beer, and started to eat. I asked if hers was
OK? She said yes , and asked me the same? I said "Its great! A good
Meal, a beautiful woman to share it with, and my favorite beer!"
She bushed slightly, and said" I quite enjoy the company myself!"
The lunch was going real well! We laughed about work, and the
People we knew. The beer was going down smooth, and our
Meal was done. Christie told me " Why don't we move this party
To my place?" I told her that "It sounded like a plan."
We paid the check and headed for the door�
Arm in arm we headed to the car again. I open the car door , and
Told her to watch her head. I closed the door and ran to the other
Side because of the cold! I got in, and Christie kissed me on the
Cheek. I asked her "what was that for?" She said " For being so
Nice and lunch." I told her " Aw shucks man, it weren't nothing"
We both laughed. I started the car , and asked which way? She told
Me, and we headed out of the park in lot�
I looked both way before starting out on the street�
I started to pull out, and out of the corner of my eye I
See a city buss�
I go to stomp on my brakes, but slip and hit the gas�
The buss hits us broad side�
Christie's knocked all the way into my lap�
There's blood coming from her mouth�
She starts to fad away, and I YELL " CHRISTIE DON"T DIE!!!"
She turns to me, and tells me " I could of loved you Scott �"
She died right there in my arms, and a peace of me died with her�
I LOVE YOU CHRISTIE!!!!!!

It’s difficult to isolate one of the many bonding moments of a couple. This was a really great story I as really getting into it, you know hoping Scott and Christie started something special, then a relationship, then marriage then kids......then I get to the end and Christie DIES! Please tell this didn't really happen! SO Sad! To find love and have it only be a fleeting moment in time....
