The Puffy White Kitten

The Puffy White Kitten

A Poem by MoonShine

The puffy white kitten sits on the tree

Looking bored, coming down is his only worry

The restless young boy paces in his room

The report card in his hand will surely bring doom

The college student is locked up in his dorm

The next test could be his last, based on how he performs

The man fiddles with a ring in deep anxiety

Denial would surely mean the end of his sobriety

The disabled looks at a flight of stairs

Wondering if somebody cared

The old man stared at the sky thoughtfully

Imagining if he had lived his life fully

The puffy kitten still sits on the tree

Looking bored, coming down is his greatest worry
