Martyr

Martyr

A Poem by MoonShine

He dies because society isn't willing to compromise

He has been given many perceptions, but refuses to coincide

Therefore he is shunned and cast aside,

But he willingly faces certain demise

Society points its fingers at his obstinacy,

Failing to recognize its own hypocrisy

He is a man who didn’t compromise his beliefs

Born in a world that is equally stubborn and obsolete

I like the overall sound of this poem. Stoic in the face of resistance :)
