Fish in a Bowl

Fish in a Bowl

A Poem by MoonShine

If god exists, then we are fish in a bowl of water.
Trapped in a bowl, we cluelessly waunder.
We escape our bowl only to find ourselves without water.
We end our lives meaningless and hollow.
Who will ease my cries and sorrow?
If god exists, then he must be the devil.
The afterlife is an elevator with only invalid levels.
So what meaning is there in living?
As a fish in a bowl I want to ask the almighty being.
Or could it be that we are all almighty beings?
Gods trapped in a fish bowl, wondering about greater powers.
If a god exists, he certainly gave me no absolute answers.
So I reserve my doubts and beliefs, as yours truly society please.

ooh.
I find this interpretation quite funny. and quite unfortuanately, a rather accurate way to look at it.

I get the reversal of roles. A little puzzled at the last line, "as yours truly society please." Good theme, but a bit too cliche. There's potential here.

its a bit confusingly worded. "we are fish in a bowl of water. Trapped in a bowl"?
it seems to repeat itself a little to bluntly
