Hold my Hand

I’m tired, hold my hand.

I have traveled so far.
Such a long way.
Now take my hand.
Hold my hand.

The road traveled now near the end.
The road travelled lost to memory.
Now, take my hand.
Help me find the way.

Through the darkness your gentle touch will guide the way.
Through the sadness, your heart will know this day.
The road ahead is short and cold.
Hold my hand, help me find the way.

Your sweet touch will soothe my soul. Your warm caress will heal my pain.
Your sweet smile will show the way.
Your soft hand will touch my heart.

I’m so tired, hold my hand for now I’m going home. I’m going home.

reminds me of children needing to hold the hand of a parent. we could all use some compassionate hand-holding at different times in our lives. there is an uncomfortable longing and fear here but the soothing answer is well within reach.
