November Skies

November Skies

A Poem by Bill
"

I wrote this while on a business trip. I was driving to dinner on an unfamiliar highway, and a bright, full moon, with Mars (I think) directly beneath, were my companions.

"

I saw a red star

or planet

hanging like a pendant

beneath the moon

it reminded me

of a ruby, perhaps

on a necklace

beneath your radiant face

the chain encircling

your slender neck,

you

consistently orbiting

me
