B-Poet (2019)

These days, it is as easy for me

  as turning over a handful of leaves,

and finding stanzas in full underneath.

  But that has not come to mean

      that I have any less to say.

Let me do this with or without a name--

  My money says they will come to feel it the same.

Because it is not in the name--

  It is only ever in the way

      we choose to share our dreams...

Like right now how one of my dreams

  is dancing its way across bright screens

in the shape of adverse rhyme schemes,

  it shouldn’t stand to say that I’m cheap…

      Instead it should stand to say

that I still have plenty left to say.

  And if we still have any left to say,

then one of them should clearly state

  that it was as easy for me in these days

      as turning over a handful of leaves,

and finding stanzas in full underneath.

  But I don’t think that should come to mean

that it is any less important to me

  to have the means to share a dream

      with everyone the way I do today…

Wow.
Let me start by saying that the way you called out 'Dave', whoever that is to you, at the end of your poem changed the way I felt when I reread the poem.
You talk about how easy it is for you to write, and it makes me think that you don't often experience writers block. The way I read it, someone, probably 'Dave', has been giving you s**t for writing so much, perhaps saying that because you can spit out poems like no tomorrow that they don't mean anything. You clearly know that isn't true, and I know that isn't true. It's easy for you to write, but you've stated that that is because there is so much inside you that you have to say.
I say good on you! I'm happy it's so easy for you to write.

Haha, thanks, Lexi. That was a perfect interpretation. Typically, when someone is talking trash about how much I produce in a day/week/month I look inward of myself and am reminded just that, it's because I have a lot to say about a lot. But I would never takes someone's work as cheap just because there's so much of it.
But yeah, Dave is this hater troll that loves running people away from writerscafe. This is my response to that jackass. I never really get vulgar with people like that guy, but I think I made my point either way. That's called imagination.
It's true also, that I hate sounding arrogant, but it's equally true that it's just this easy for me these days. Years of practice, study, and inspiration. Those things which hack poets who talk s**t about me tend to lack.
And me, I'm back at the top of my form, feeling great about it. New year, new attitude.
I'll take on all these trash-talkers all at once.

It's just that easy for me these days.
But now I think, since that's out of my system, i'll go back to writing important messages.

Oh and by the way, yes, you're right, Lexi. I have only had writer's block once or twice, when i was a younger man with a cluttered brain. These days I'm into stuff like yoga and meditation and my mind soars freely.
I hate seeing others go through writer's block, when i have seen so little of it in my life.
It kind of makes me feel crappy that I don't have it, but I think mostly it's just because my mind is never cluttered like it was then. That seems now like a life-age ago.
I guess we can say, that was so young ago.

I like the cutting flow to this!
I wouldn't think to much of the people that think you write to much most folks find it hard to write others are to anal to let the flow..... go and probably are just pissed off you can, write so often and so well! I cant say that i don't go in writing droughts, I write in cycles (hitting a dead cycle now) but i do write every morning even if i only squeeze out one stanza in three hours i find that it's a zen thing I just do it reflexively my morning is... feed cat, make coffee & tap tap tap! And by the way you have plenty more to say

Personally, I laughed my self sick when I first finished this. It's my ultimate "bite me, you worthless bottom feeders."

Thanks Frederika. I was actually wondering, as I wrote that, if a poem that mentions what it's doing while it's doing it is meta-fictive in a way. I don't know if I did it right, but this verse brushes somewhat against the Fourth Wall.
It's self aware, in that respect.
