![]() Beauty fades but not my loveA Poem by Wem Ortiz![]() 4 years 6 months and 15 days left Sonnet IV![]() You were born through Aphrodite’s hands with an angel smile that would make a man such as me, wander upon deserts. or swim into heavy waves even if it will take me a thousand miles. just to hold you close and together we will not part. Your hair so brown should uncover your eyes like unveiling silk, as it perfectly swifts, soundless with a warm windy breeze. and your skin pales with the likes of milk glowing through the sun’s reflection as it tease me. Though such beauty of yours will long be gone skin ages, and hair turns gray you’ll slow down with old crooked bones and your beautiful curves won’t be there to stay. But I will be there to see everything, so come what may, we shall forth for growing old with you is something worth waiting for.
