![]() Senseless MindA Poem by Wem OrtizI see you, walking right before my eyes. I hear you, speak lines, I smell your scent, fragrance from those lonely nights I tasted your cakes, sweetness of a birthday present an overwhelming touches, behind my spines.
figuring melodies, on songs unsung harmonies on those guitar strings strum the golden memories, the sound of your voice, entrapped air inside my lungs
you define the process of sugarcane to sugar dust, an enchantress, enchanted busting magical dust. you devoured me, from my crust to the deepest of my core filled me with water, leave me here, drown my soul fly my kite, so you would see an elevating paper unfold. now tell me is this a story untold?
cold nights on a lonely friday eve. bird on a cage slowly be freed. a content of a scripture, unreleased greeting cards from a cold october breeze wind blowing, wind pipes. flutes tuned to dumbfounded trumpets. paintings on my room. a picture on my walls, a photo of you.
then time fly so fast it had been years and months I forgot things beyond my control, and I realized that...
I was blind, to see the picture I was deaf, to hear the music, I was mute, to speak the context I had hyposmia, to smell your fragrance my toungue's, to short to taste your actions I was numb, to feel your touches
yet you are still there not leaving... being My Senses...
thank you. © 2012 Wem OrtizAuthor's Note
