If I left tomorrow

If I left tomorrow

A Poem by bluesaturn

If you knew,
I'm not sure if I can stay,
if you knew,
I was thinking about leaving
and never coming back,
if you knew,
I have forgotten what it feels like
to be happy
while lying in your arms,
would anything change?
Would you beg me to stay?
Would you tell me you're sorry
for hurting me all this time?
Or would you watch me walk away
with a broken heart,
and not run after me?
Because life isn't a movie,
and I've never been lucky enough
to be loved that much.
If I left tomorrow,
would you keep loving me still?
Would you try to fight for forever?
I hate to do this,
but I just got to ask:
What would you do,
if I left today?

Heartbreaking and true to its depths. The question it asks of us many in life can relate to. And it is a pain all to familiar. Thank you for sharing your wonderful but sad poem with us.
