That kind of power

That kind of power

A Poem by bluesaturn

You destroyed everything
that mattered to me
with an iron fist
and I was busy
picking up pieces
and glueing them back together,
while you stood back
and laughed.
But I'm not that person anymore.
I bet you think
that I am broken now.
I bet you think,
I have nothing left to give.
I bet you're happy in your lies,
'cause you believe
I am your greatest masterpiece.
But I am strong,
I am here
and I will not be silenced.
I won't let you break me down
into pieces ever again.
I won't keep my mouth shut.
You can't tear me down anymore.
You don't hold
that kind of power.
