103 YetA Poem by Chris Smith WelshpoetcsYou radiate with inner beauty That guides me homeward Bound to there at your side Ready for the bloom of love
Yet it escapes me, pushes me away The flowers of the heart grow And they stay out of reach Their thorns keeping me back
You nuture the feelings you have Your precious heart is for me It is fragrant with sweet aroma Luring me closer to your embrace
Yet the scent lingers for too long And is gathered up on winds of time It is pulled away from my grasp Taken away as I try to touch
You are the part of me I need To make me be at last, complete My life that needs you to feed it For this soul needs watered, needs you
Yet I can feel you tender and soft My wonderous grace of nature Holding me, knowing how to love Casting out the weeds of sorrow
