102 Dragon's Blood (collabration between Poppy Silver and Chris Smith)

A Poem by Chris Smith Welshpoetcs

Dragon's blood is spewed across this land

Innocents slain for reasons of war

Even the young were victims to the sword

All this mayhem I can never understand

For why would someone kill for?

Can you explain what was their reward?

Explain as heartbeat ceases to see another day
As mankind falls further away from grace
Face to earth
Chaos, rebirth is in limbo
Control and greed
See death lament in shadows

They strip the Earth bare

Ripping at her explosed flesh

Like a Dragon, also slain

Unwilling to allow life to share

Never forgiving anything to bless

Always killing all they find there

They have an agenda
For depopulation
Consumed by the fire
Fear is their weapon
The fragrance devoured
It is their chosen pill of poison

There is Evil within these dimensions

Where life is sacred no more

And Death shall search and scan

Of the name no one dare mentions

This broken Earth on blooded shore

That Evil is known only as man

So gather momentum

Know you have a voice

Illuminate peace with love

Lest ocean will have no sand to splash upon

Mankind shall speak

No more

I love the finallity of the line 'no more' at the very end :) In fact, I love the whole last stanza. Your style is beautiful, and although I don't know Poppy Silver, you two make a great team if this is what you can produce together. Great work, well done :)

"They have an agenda

The world is truly crumbling at its bases and mankind has a lighted fuse...which is getting shorter by the second. WE are the ones who'll determine our bearing...And this piece has vindicated that enough! Nicely done...the both of you:)

Their is a lot of evil in this world and the idea of depopulation is just wrong (hope its not on anyones agenda) but its also bs!! as everyone in the world could fit in texas, which would be awesome!! being all warm and cozy!! I read somewhere it would be around 1,000 square feet per person.

The collaboration create a powerful poem. These are the poem needed to be read by many. So many statements stood out and needed to be heard. Mankind screams are weakening. I hope man don't fade away without a fight for life and some kind of peace.

Thank you for a powerful and outstanding poem.

Such conviction and validity spoken here.
I hate to say this, but we as people and as a society are due for a major, catastrophic, rude awakening, in the very, very near future.
The ending sure entails the truth of its conclusion...

"Know you have a voice Illuminate peace with love
Lest ocean will have no sand to splash upon Mankind shall speak No more"

I hope that we as a meshed society of all kinds of people, wake up....
before it's too late.

Thanks you for sharing this... Chris and Poppy
