(83) Ode To The Vampire StalkerA Poem by Chris Smith Welshpoetcs
For too many years I have hunted him.
My hatred towards him burns with intensity . I am bound to at last find a way to destroy him , To end this evil he spreads throughout the night ; For he is a creature that is one of the undead. I loved her with all my heart and she was my world, And he came and he took her forever away from me. He tainted her and cursed her to be one like him. I was forced to return her back into the arms of God. It was so many years ago and I still continue to weep. I believe that we are both cursed by our own inner demons. He lives an immortal nightmare only to exist in darkness. He escapes me every time but I will find his resting place, Where he sleeps far from the sun that burns his soul. He is my enemy and we know soon one of us will die. I will drive this wooden stake through his black heart. I will decapitate his head from the coldness of his body. At last he will never again stalk his prey no longer, Then I can rest this aged and weary body; And I too can be reunited with my long lost love at Heaven's gate. copyright Chris Smith 2009 © 2011 Chris Smith WelshpoetcsAuthor's Note
