(74) Pseudo Heart

(74) Pseudo Heart

A Poem by Chris Smith Welshpoetcs

Watch out!, she's coming for you.
I'm so sorry, there's no escape now;
Especially as she has you in her sights.
You're hers, to do with as she wants;
A prisoner to her pseudo heart.

You think that you can control her;
You have to know you have that wrong.
What ever she wants, she always gets;
Because with her body you are enticed.
She has you now, with her pseudo heart.

I loved her once, but then I fell.
She took me and drained me of all I had;
Then she cast me out and left me to rot.
I know it was a mistake for she couldn't love.
For there is nothing left inside her pseudo heart.

I am enormously jealous of the title "Pseudo Heart." Wish I had come up with that.

Having learned that these are being posted in an order, and we're less than a third of the way through, I can only imagine the quality of the s**t we're gonna be seeing when we get towards 300. Thanks Chris.

Hahaha, insanity. It's true that one of the best weapons on earth is not gun nor sword; it's a woman's body.

ah I love the title - I also got the image of the sea - no idea why ha I get strange things from poems ha - the idea of it being unruly and unobtainable - kind of like pirates of the caribbean if you've seen it ha - fell in love with the sea or its embodiment - but it's untameable - too wild to be controlled - a double edged sword - and then of course the obvious of a woman but I like my sea take haha nice!!

I love the term "Pseudo Heart". The rest of the poem was also well written, and the repetition at the end of each stanza tied the poem together well.
"She took me and drained me of all I had;
Then she cast me out and left me to rot."
I love these lines :)

A familiar story emotionally and uniquely told.
The wench has confederates, Brother Chris, I have met them here in America.
Strong work!

Oh you know her too! At least I know of others she has done this too besides me. This is why people should come with warning labels across their forehead. I like how you worked this poem together, I think many of us knows of a person like this rather male or female. Great topic and great write.
