(74) Pseudo Heart

(74) Pseudo Heart

A Poem by Chris Smith Welshpoetcs

Watch out!, she's coming for you.
I'm so sorry, there's no escape now;
Especially as she has you in her sights.
You're hers, to do with as she wants;
A prisoner to her pseudo heart.

You think that you can control her;
You have to know you have that wrong.
What ever she wants, she always gets;
Because with her body you are enticed.
She has you now, with her pseudo heart.

I loved her once, but then I fell.
She took me and drained me of all I had;
Then she cast me out and left me to rot.
I know it was a mistake for she couldn't love.
For there is nothing left inside her pseudo heart.

I am enormously jealous of the title "Pseudo Heart." Wish I had come up with that.

Having learned that these are being posted in an order, and we're less than a third of the way through, I can only imagine the quality of the s**t we're gonna be seeing when we get towards 300. Thanks Chris.

A pseudo heart. Need to be left alone. Few can get close and leave with their senses. In my lifetime. I learn some woman are to be held for a short time only. Their hunger is too much for one man. I like the complete poem. A very strong ending to a outstanding poem.

Strong and amazing Chris.. You've described this type of person to a T.. Of coarse you brush yourself off and do it again..because love is what its all about.. despite those you live within the realm of their pseudo hearts.. :) Great write..x

A familiar tale, my friend. I've been chewed like a bone by more than one woman with a pseudo heart.

This is really fantastic! The first line grabs you and pulls you right through the rest of the poem. This is something I can relate to. I've fallen for someone who had a pseudo heart but I've never been able to put it into words before. You did an excellent job of describing thosse feelings.

the title alone caught my attention
this was an enjoyable read and it made me want to know what the author went through; I especially found it personally interesting with the line "you think you can control her" i wonder if that is love in some eyes - control - who has the pseudo heart really...?
