Endings

Endings

A Poem by Well Blow Me Down!
"

Patter song type of poem about friendship and loss. Ironically sad.

"

The ending is the ending, and that’s why it’s called the ending,
But if endings won’t stop ending, then it’s time for them to end.
And when friends keep befriending others, it’s a lot like like lending them,
It’s no good just pretending that they’ll always be a friend.

And I think I need defending, when my friendies keep defriending me"
It’s tending now to send me deep depression, without end.
So if I intend to mend myself, the trend of loss must end, you see?
I’ll spend my time by bending clear of friends whose friendship ends.

So if you ever find me in the doldrums, please remind me
That for kindly friends, who mindfully support me, I don’t lack.
Don’t malign me if I cry too much, supply to me some fine hugs! I am
Shy to say “I love you,” but I’m never turning back!
