The Heart Thief

The Heart Thief

A Poem by Amber Weldon

Trembling hands
Gentle touch
Meant without feeling
Yet I feel so much.

Twirling tongues
Greedy eyes
I can feel everything
Even his lies

"Don't let yourself feel"
I chant in my mind
He can't love you
Hes not yours to find

My heart breaks
As I let him steal it.

What a great piece of writing, short but to the point.
We all have those doubts, are we being played, are they just after one thing, and then will move on.
You have caught that turmoil so well in less than fifty words, I am impressed.
Great work
