The Scent of You

 

A glimmering diamond,

A kiss,

A cut of passion

Bestowed

Upon my soul,

Your lips pressed gently

Upon my cheek,

Warm and tender

So long ago.

A loving embrace

Forever

Lingers deep in me.

The sun dips,

Slips slowly away,

Dripping across a shade of gold.

A lovely season

In the midst,

Glistening in the sunlit haze,

With a slight and sultry

Summer wind-

My heart is melting,

Breathing in the scent of you,

In the afterglow

Within.
