Butterflies on the Vine

Butterflies on the Vine

A Poem by Jesse W.

Deep green, dark purple
Mixed with fluttering yellow
Define the vineyard

The butterflies land
Ride the vines as though they were
Birds on power lines

Watching as callous, course
Rough fingers pluck fresh ripe grapes
Ready for their wine

Vineyards can be very calm places :) Thanks for the review!
Nothing as relaxing and mesmerizing as watching butterflies. Nice gentle poem. Fluttering butterflies to callous rough fingers, clever blend of images. Enjoyed it. Richie B.100
