Ode to Potter

A tribute to Harry Potter

Under the cupboard

With the spiders and the dust

That's where you came from

Till a letter sailed

Into your hands by the mail

Carried by an owl

They kept you away

From your family's birth right

Stole you in the night

And down by the sea

Your eleventh year began

So did something grand

A giant came by

The letter safely in hand

It was meant for you

'Dear Mister Potter,'

That was how it all began

A magical land

You traveled by train

Into the wondrous unknown

Hogwarts became home

You met family

Took on an evil Dark Lord

And you found yourself

As years come and go

The magic will never fade

We remember you

As a fan of Harry Potter, I knew from the beginning that I would love this poem, and I was right!! The thing that I love so much about harry potter is the excitement and magic you feel when you read it, like maybe it's all posssible somehow, and I feel that you wove a bit of that into your poem, because I felt that especially in the beginning.
Also, I'm slytherin all the way lol just while we're on the hp topic lol

Love this poem. Never imagined a Harry Potter based poem could be so beautiful. The only negative thing I have to say is that, for me, the first stanza did not flow as well as the rest of the poem. But other than that great work. Congrats.
