Stand and deliver
My joy to me now, I beg I won't be alone You took her from me So now I can see so well Lone life, nothing, pain I was selfish then Put my wants above her needs Now joy is no more Your crept in the night You struck, ripping her from my arms The world felt loss then I miss her so much Bright eyes, ethereal light Joy was what she was Death can be shallow Hollow and always follows Never lets you be Death sees your whole soul Human depths no challenge It takes what it wants It saw her love, strong She gave always, never kept She should be with me Death had to have her Claim her, frame her like a prize She used to be mine O Death won't you please Won't you bring her home to me? I need my joy back I am nothing now Lost life's great light, love's great gift She's forever gone O Death I miss her I should have treasured my joy She'd still be here now I need her whole soul I have to tell her, hold her I need my joy back
