Naked Sheep do Wolves Eat

Naked Sheep do Wolves Eat

A Chapter by Robert Francis Callaci

To seek tranquility is a major liability
it leads to an unnatural state of passivity
in where one wallows in ones inability
to live in the Now and practice humility

In ones pleasure do we find forbidden treasure
which dulls ones senses at our given leisure
it takes its toll as we're swallowed whole
with nothing of substance we can truly measure

Off we go to that bottomless hole
reciting sacred psalms with outstretched palms
smiling docilely stripped of all animosity
while in the distance not so far away
the wolves laugh at and hunger for their prey
