Apocalyptic Sunshine

Apocalyptic Sunshine

A Poem by Robert Francis Callaci
"

shade your eyes

"

Humanity soaks in the mud of the world-

While the devil plays the fiddle

to GOD’S applause~

where red skies

bloodshot eyes

dirty faces

sin drenched places-

are but tiny brushstrokes  of

dark etchings on a

brightly lit landscape-

where puppeteers, pagan seers,

prophets, soldiers and priests

hop, skip and jump to the beat of

a beggars tune- whereby- they leap

into a miasma of filth filled with their

manufactured piety and despair

while the rest of us

just watch, play, sleep

and wither away…

This is the best of your apocolypse series. It has the most interesting turn of phrase and is the most thought-provoking (IMHO). Well done.

This is dark, rich and full of imagery. Cherrie
