cyborg dreams

cyborg dreams

A Poem by Robert Francis Callaci
"

boot up

"

As I ride the electric pony a gust of wind

brushes against my cardboard cheeks.

Flashes of lightening the color of crayon

gold conjured up from make believe

memories lights up the darkened

path that I follow. My cotton candy

heart thumpity thump thumps along in

crystallized confusion  while pumping

its black sugar into my liquefied veins.

I ride the cyber waves and surf on

dead neural slaves. Fast, fast, faster

I go into that white fiery pit where

all my desires and dreams will be

fulfilled.  But once in this oasis of

sin I will be forever locked and

plugged in.

Unplug me! Unplug me now!

My electric pony has pulled up lame~

Wow great play on words- what struck me most has to be the depth and essence of the meaning puncuated by the eternal last line, ethereally conveyed- cyborg dreams, original, excellent poem
has a fun yet sadness about the ambiance, keep up the great work!
