Twilight

You’ll never know heaven

if you desire hell

Hell’s not all fire

And brimstone smell

Its beauty entices~

So beguiling and pleasing

You find yourself freezing

Your heart breaks in two

Hell’s power enthralls you~

It taunts you It wants you

Compassion’s out of fashion

Bid virtue adieu

Its passion entraps you~

It consumes you and dooms you

Your hunger not sated

It binds you confines you

Intoxication, jubilation,

temptation, starvation

Its victory your damnation

Hell yells with elation

With no virtue about

It fills you with doubt

Lust and greed does it breed

Lies and distrust are its creed

In the waters of heaven

And fires of hell

A war is a raging

And all is not well…

(from the memoirs of Lucifer the Morningstar)

A MOON RISE ON A STARRY NIGHT

VIII

Lilith loved all of her children equally, but she felt a special bond and affinity for her two oldest daughters, Kali and Kea. They loved the things of the earth and like their mother spent much of their time wandering around paradise amongst the birds, trees ,mountains and seas. Her youngest daughter Eve, was the apple of her fathers eye and rarely left his side, and like her father, her eyes were towards heaven and the earth was only something for ones feet to walk on. Mitheriel, twin to Kali and Azriel, twin to Kea, looked to the earth and the heavens in equal measure. But their love for their sisters outweighed their love for the heavens; so these sons of Lilith preferred the company of women than of God.

Adam watched his daughter gather up berries and fruits for the evening meal. Of all his children she was most like him. Her beauty was but a reflection, as he looked at her he also saw himself, “Her hair of golden hue, eyes of sapphire blue, skin of ivory white, a reflection of the morning light.” She was his delight. He loved all of his children but Kali and Kea in looks and temperament were so like their mother while Mitheriel and Azriel were a combination or a blending of Lilith and he. But Eve was a mirror into his soul and she loved him beyond all others, even God, and that made him feel good.

----

Lilith’s way was blocked. Guarding the entrance way to the eighth gate stood two magnificent and wondrous angels in all their glory. Never before had she seen them with such clarity. She always saw them as flickering silhouettes, transparent and unobtrusive. But now these angels of God, these golden winged titans were anything but some comforting ghostly presence , but beings of great power and terrifying beauty.

She gathered up her courage and asked:

Oh Ye Angels of God, why do you block my way?

And the air filled with music as both angels sang in unison;

The barbaric hordes of the dark lord have breeched the outer gates of paradise. Corruption has leaked its way in. Oh blessed daughter of this earth and child of God, your way is blocked so that You, Adam and your Children remain pure and stay free of the taint of Lucifer’s hammer. Go back to the “Gardens of Eden” and seek out the “Voice of God”, for She will give answer to the questions that your troubled heart now seeks.

And then God’s flames fell down from the sky, creating a great wall of fire between herself and where the angels stood. That part of paradise was now closed to her. For the first time in her life, she felt confused and afraid. Who was this Dark Lord the angels spoke of? What was corruption? What was to become of the spirits and all of the living and non living things that were now blocked from her? These questions raced through her mind as she ran back to the safety of her home to find out the answers to these questions

-------

The angels watched Lilith; through the curtain of fire they called down from heaven; turn towards home. They were saddened that they were the ones who took away her innocence. As they were ready to make their final stand against Lucifer’s Hounds, Cameilla (the guardian of the eighth gate) said to her companion:

Lucifer’s corruption has leaked its way into our spirit, weighing it down with body. My clarity of mind is now in a muddled pile of sensation and need is now taking hold. By our own choice, we have locked ourselves out of heaven, so that we might give the young ones a little more time to savor the joys of paradise.

And to this Uriellona (the guardian of the ninth gate), replied:

Let’s hope our sacrifice bears fruit. For we are now locked in this prison of time where the weight of our bodies and passions will soon become intolerable. But for now our light is not yet dimmed. Let our light turn this pitch black night into twilight. Make ready and prepare to embrace the darkness of our twins…

------

Gabriel bowed before Lucifer and said:

My Lord, over a third of paradise is ours. Raphael, Uriel, Camael, Samael, and

Adonael have broken through the light of their soul twins and are now feeding them their darkness. Our voices have now taken on a new lilt. We can now make our own songs and our destiny will now be determined by nobody but ourselves.

Lucifer nodded in agreement but he knew that not to be true. This was all a part of His and Lucifina’s song, orchestrated by GOD.  And GOD had plans of HIS own…

Hell is Hell no matter how you look at it.

why do we say we feel like hell?
When we don't know what hell really feels like

Why do we tell people to go to hell?
When we've never seen it

So I must say this is one HELL of a write
But I am not sure what Hell means.
